Robotic Painting Optimization
Vision Solutions International is currently
involved in a program to develop technology to reduce the concerns that currently limit
the use of robotically applied camouflage painting in DoD depots and in job-lot limited
commercial operations. Phase 1 focuses on a thorough review of the Barstow physical
facility and development of the Statement of Work. This Statement of Work addresses the
physical facility needs, the variables imposed by the actual demonstration vehicle
available for use in the project, and the economic and maintainability concerns.
Phase 2A will demonstrate the actual hardware, software and the human/software/hardware
interface system that would provide capability for a full-scale system suitable for
installation at Barstow. The demonstration will be at CTA in Madison, Alabama.
Participants include CTA Automation Technology, Inc. (CTA); Vision Solutions International
Inc. (VSII); U.S. Marines (Barstow); U.S. Army (Red River), Penn State ARL, and National
Center for Manufacturing Sciences.

Matrox Camera
Support
Vision Solutions International is pleased to announce that is has added the Matrox Iris P-300 smart
camera to the family of cameras supported its VisionHub robot guidance system. The newly
introduced Iris P-Series uses a real-time operating system to deliver the performance and
robustness necessary for mission critical machine vision applications at a very
competitive price.
Vision Hub Web
Interface
Vision Solutions International has recently announced the development of their web user
interface for their Vision Hub product. This interface allows accessibility to the status
and control of the vision system using a standard web browser from any computer connected
to the network. This interface eliminates the need for a monitor and keyboard on the
factory floor, or installing custom software on a computer in order to access the vision
system. The user can view camera images, check the status of the latest executed commands,
and modify system configuration. Accessibility to the interface and the amount of control
available to the user is maintained using password protection.
